What Makes a Story Worth Reading?
Writing is a fun activity for all ages. Whether you write stories or poems, you can use your imagination to create a world of your own. You may want to create a story for a website, or perhaps you're writing a book. You may want to develop a plot that will keep your readers interested, or maybe you just want to write something that will make people laugh. Whatever the case may be, writing is a skill that can be learned and perfected over time.
Some people think writing is only for writers and authors. However, everyone can benefit from writing because it helps us express our thoughts and emotions in a more organized way.
Now let's see how to create a good story and the right way to write it
1) Write Down Your Ideas
The first thing you need to do is write down all of your ideas. You don’t need a finished product yet; just make sure that you have everything written down so that it doesn’t get lost or forgotten while writing your story.
2) Make a List of Characters
Once you have all of your ideas written down, make a list of characters who will be included in your story and what role they play in it (whether it be the main character or secondary character). Make sure that each character has a specific job they must do for the plot to move forward successfully!
3) Create an Outline with Your Story Arc
Now that you have created lists for both characters and plot points/events, create an outline with the events from both lists put together. This is how your story will flow — one event after another. If you are having trouble figuring out how these events should go, use the following tip: What if this happened? Ask yourself this question as you look at your plot points. It might help you see how they fit together better.
Once you have created your story arc, place it somewhere where you will see it often.*
4) Write Your First Draft
As a writer, your job is to make the reader care about your characters. You do that by showing their struggles and triumphs, by revealing their vulnerabilities and strengths. The best way to do this is through an arc of character development—a series of events that happen to your characters throughout the story.
You can use our E writing Pad here to jot down all your ideas and outline the story! Once you have completed your outline, it's time to add some details! Once you have added all these details, make sure you have written a killer Story! Good Luck!
